Some Day I'm Going to Have a Store!

I love old books!
I just always seem to find a treasure
or a message meant for me!

Today, while I was pricing
a 1949 Children's Encyclopedia,
I started to flip the pages
and read the poems and fairy tales.

The 1913 is a library id number,
it is also written in the back of the book!

Almost instantly I came to a page
that caught my eye:

The Poem made me smile
as it mirrored my thoughts exactly!

I love working in my booths, but
Some Day I'm Going to Have a Store,
with a tinky bell over the door...
And say,
"What can I do for you today?"

Welcome to any new followers and
thank you to the original 16 who have
been my faithful few!

You have to start somewhere!

Live Authentically ~ Be the Real You!

Blessings,
Martha

Ugh had some trouble with my laptop..Im now 2nd. lol But you know this post speaks volumes to me in many ways. When you turn that OPEN sign on that door to YOUR SHOP, I will drive down to Georgia myself and be there for the ribbon cutting.

Canngil, Melanie and Debi, thank you all for all the well wishes! And yes Melanie...You and I will both have to celebrate each other's shops...yours in SC and mine in Ga.

Debi, If I have half the success you do, I will consider myself a great success! :) If I ever make it out to West Coast..I'm there...Ormolulu!

Ms. Canngil...stay tuned...lots of textile projects waiting in the wings!

Dear Martha, I was amazed to find "Someday I'm Going to Have a Store" on your website. When I was 8 in 1954, I read this poem, over and over until I had memorized it. I've always wanted a "little store". To this day, I recite this poem to anyone who will listen. I have it printed and on my desk. I will definately drive from Phoenix to Georgia to be there when you open your door..."with a tinkly bell". I'm signing up for your blog right now!

Dear Jean - we are kindred spirits!! You sent your note at the most opportune time! I closed all my booths in June and am now moving into a warehouse space to open a work shop and vintage wedding prop rental business.....big doubts and wondering about an actual store....and then I get your comment! Thank you for reminding why I'm doing what I'm doing! Hopefully this is the proper progression to get to that store with the tinkly bell! :) Hugs!
